Leven CE (VC) Primary School

Enriching Life through Learning

Welcome and Thankyou,

July 2018

Dear Parents/Carers

2018 was a very successful year for the PTFA we raised a large amount of money and spent it on the following,

  •  £50 for compost for the gardening club.
  • 4 discovery maps, 5 laminated maps of the world and 4 children's world maps.
  • £500 for new guillotines for every class.
  • £2000 for a reading comprehension scheme for school.
  • £105 for new books for the library.
  • £50 for year 1 money belts.
  • Christmas fair £1090.27
  • Movie night £168.20
  • Summer Fair £960
  • Bag2School £182.80
  • Empties please ink cartridge £383

(with thanks to Leven surgery for helping us collect the ink cartridge)

In addition to this, the PTFA also paid for the year 6 leaver’s presents and leaver’s party. The PTFA also paid for the coaches to take the children to the Christmas panto at a cost of £650.

Next year we hoping to be able to raise enough money to purchase a large 20ft toughened glass green house for the school to use as an outdoor learning space and to be used by the gardening club. The cost of this is around £2500.

Massive thank you to each and every one of you whom, attended events, donated items for events and donated your time to make sure events can go ahead, without you the events would not be possible.

In 2018/19 we have some very exciting events in the pipeline and hope you enjoy some, or all of them.

If you want to have a say on what the PTFA funds are spent on and would like to get involved with raising money for the children then please join us at the next PTFA meeting which will take place on Monday 10th  September 2018, 7:30pm at Leven School, to be opted on to the committee. You are not obliged to attend every meeting or help out at every event but every bit of help is greatly received.

The current PTFA members do a fantastic job raising money for the children however more members means lighter work, you can help out as much or as little as you want but WE NEED YOU!

Thank you for your continued support
